The CYSL Scholarship Award is a one-time scholarship in the amount of $500. It will be awarded annually to one student who plans to continue their education following graduation from high school. The Award is open to male and female high school seniors who have been positively impacted by being involved with CYSL.

Eligible Connetquot students are invited to apply for this Scholarship through their High School Guidance Office. The Guidance Office will verify the Scholarship Profile with regard to rank in class and weighted average. All completed profiles that meet the criteria will be submitted, by the High School Guidance Office, to the Scholarship Chairperson of CYSL. Other Districts’ students may apply directly to the CYSL Scholarship Committee by mailing their documentation to CYSL Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 1136, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. All completed applications should be submitted to the Scholarship Chairperson no later than March 1 of the applicant’s graduating year.
Notification of Winners and Procedure for Scholarship Award Recipients
A public announcement of the scholarship will be made at the Connetquot High School Athletic Awards Night. In addition, the winner must be present at the CYSL Annual Awards Picnic held in the beginning of June, where a Letter of Award and Congratulations will be presented to the winner. This letter will also detail the procedure for receiving the award payment.
In the event of forfeiture of the Award for any reason, a runner-up will be selected and awarded the scholarship.

The Board of Directors of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, Inc. has established a scholarship fund for those graduating seniors who have participated in the Long Island Junior Soccer League, Inc. for at least five (5) seasons. It is suggested you have a minimum overall High School average of 75 and you will be attending college or trade school. Additionally, serious consideration is given to the well rounded candidate who has participated in volunteer projects and/or community service.
